DeVore was defeated by incumbent John Yarmuth in the general election.[3] DeVore ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Kentucky's 3rd District. He ran as an Independent candidate. He faced incumbent John Yarmuth (D) and Brooks Wicker (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[4]
