Robert Jacquard (b. May 15, 1958) is a Democratic member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, representing District 17.

Education

Jacquard attended Salve Regina. He earned his BS and JD from Roger Williams University in 1984 and 1998, respectively.

Professional experience

Jacquard served the Cranston Police Department as Sergeant from 1979 to 2002. From 1999 to 2002, he was Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Cranston. He has worked as a self-employed attorney since 1999.

Political experience

Jacquard joined the Rhode Island House of Representatives in 1993. He has served in that position since, representing the 17th District.

Jacquard won re-election in the 2012 election for Rhode Island House of Representatives District 17. Jacquard was unopposed in the September 11 Democratic primary and defeated Charles Hooper (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1]

Jacquard won re-election to the 17th District Seat in 2010. He was unopposed in the September 14 Democratic primary election and also faced no opposition in the general election on November 2, 2010.[2][3]
