Robert Murphy (born 1957) is a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 36 of the Michigan House of Representatives. He has run for the same seat in every election year from 2004 on.

Murphy is a mediator specialist for the U.S. military.[1]

Murphy is running in the 2012 election for Michigan House of Representatives District 36. He defeated Brian Senia in the Democratic primary on August 7, 2012. Incumbent Pete Lund defeated Tadd Siglow in the Republican primary. The general election takes place on November 6, 2012. [2][3]
