Robert S. Bloxom, Jr. (R) defeated Willie C. Randall (D) in the special election, which took place on February 25.[1][2][3]

The seat was vacant following Lynwood Lewis's (D) election to the Virginia State Senate on January 7.

A special election for the position of Virginia House of Delegates District 100 was called for February 25. Candidates were nominated by their party rather than chosen through a primary. The nominating deadline for parties was February 10.[4]
