Sezak's opponents in the November 2 general election were Republican candidate John Picchiotti, Un-enrolled candidate Paul Tessier, and Independent candidate Aaron Rowden. According to unofficial results, Pichhiotti defeated Sezak, Tessier and Rowden in the November 2 general election.[1] Democratic incumbent Edward Finch was not eligible for re-election due to Maine's term limits.
