Robert Thompson is a Democratic member of the Arkansas State Senate, representing District 20 since 2013.

Thompson was a Democratic member of the Arkansas State Senate representing District 11 from 2007 to 2013 and served as Majority Leader.

Thompson also served in the Arkansas State House of Representatives from 2004 to 2006. He currently works as an attorney.

Thompson ran for re-election in the 2012 election for Arkansas Senate, District 20. Thompson ran unopposed in the May 22 Democratic primary and defeated Blake Johnson (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[1][2][3]
