Ron Griggs is a Republican member of the New Mexico State Senate. Griggs holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from New Mexico State University. He formerly owned Alamogordo Title Company. He served three terms on the Alamogordo City Commission, six years as Mayor Pro-Tem of Alamogordo and three years as Mayor of Alamogordo.[1].

He was appointed in December 2012 to fill a vacancy left by Vernon Asbill, after having won election to a full term for the seat in November.[2]

Griggs ran in the 2012 election for New Mexico State Senate District 34. He ran and won against Sarah Dion Kidd-Johnson in the Republican primary on June 5, 2012. Griggs defeated Ellen E. Wedum in the general election on November 6, 2012.[4][5]
