Ron Grooms is a Republican member of the Indiana State Senate, representing District 46. He was first elected to the chamber in 2010. He previously served on the Jeffersonville City Council, from 2000 to 2012 and from 1984 to 1992.

Grooms defeated Democratic candidate Charles Freiberger by a margin of 21,019 to 18,965 in the November 2 general election. Democratic incumbent Connie Sipes did not run for re-election.
