Ron Jelinek was a Republican member of the Michigan State Senate from 2003 to January 1, 2011.

Jelinek also served four terms in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2002 to 2006. Jelinek graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Education from Michigan State in 1967 and his Master's Degree from Western Michigan in 1992. Jelinek is a retired Agricultural Education teacher and currently is a Cattle Farmer.
