Ronald Young (b. October 19, 1940) is a Democratic member of the Maryland State Senate, representing District 3 since January 12, 2011.

Young is a Consultant in commercial real estate sales. He has worked as such since 2005. Young was also a college instructor from 1990-1991. He worked as a Newspaper columnist in Frederick, Maryland from 1990-1998. He was also a Town Manager for the Town of Indian Head from 2001-2005.

Young graduated from Frederick Community College in 1962 with an A.A. He also graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a B.A. in History & Government in 1967, and from Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College), with a M.Ed. in 1970.
