Jones was elected to District 1. Jones was one of three candidates running for the two positions in District 1 on the ballot in the November 2, 2010 general election. Jones' opponents were Democrat incumbent Randy Swartzmiller and Independent Amanda Mesler. The top two vote-getters were elected.[2][3][4]
