Text of measure
Language on the ballot:
|“||Over the past eight years, the City of Royal Oak has cut its full-time work force by 25%. Lower tax revenues will require more reductions and impact services and programs further. This proposed 5-year police, fire and emergency medical service millage will allow Royal Oak to maintain core services. The proposed amendment to Chapter 8, Section 11, if approved, would allow the City to levy a millage for a period not to exceed five (5) years of up to 3.975 mills, to defray the costs for police, fire and emergency medical services. Shall the proposal be adopted?||”|
