Sally Margaret Roffey Jewell (b. February 21, 1956, in London, England) is the current Secretary of the Interior. She was confirmed by the Senate on April 10, 2013, by a vote of 87-11. All dissenting votes were cast by Republicans.[1]

Jewell was previously the CEO of the recreation retail chain REI. She also worked in commercial banking and petroleum engineering before becoming the Secretary of the Interior.[2]
