The Save the San Francisco Junior ROTC Initiative or Proposition V, was on the November 4, 2008 ballot in San Francisco for voters in the City of San Francisco.[1].

Proposition V was approved with 54.63% of the vote.

The ballot measure overturns a 2006 vote to shut down the Junior ROTC by 2009.[2]

Ballot language

The language on the ballot said:

Shall it be City policy to encourage the School Board to reverse its decision to terminate JROTC and to continue to offer JROTC in San Francisco public high schools?
