Scott Heidepriem has been a Democratic member of the South Dakota Senate since 2006, representing the 13th district.
Education
Heidepriem earned his BA and MA in History from the University of South Dakota. He went on to earn his MA from Harvard University. He then received his JD from the University of South Dakota.
Professional experience
Heidepriem has worked as a special assistant to the Attorney General. He also founded Johnson, Hiedepriem, Miner, Marlow and Janklow in 1992. He has worked as an attorney since then.
Political experience
Heidepriem joined the South Dakota State Senate in 2006. He has served in the senate since and is currently the Minority Leader. He represents the 13th district.
