Scott Jameson was a 2014 Libertarian candidate for District 8 of the Texas State Senate.[1]

Elections for 15 of the 31 seats in the Texas State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on March 4, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in these elections was December 9, 2013. Van Taylor was unopposed in the Republican primary. Taylor defeated Scott Jameson (L) in the general election.[2][3][1]

Jameson ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. Senate, representing Texas. He was not selected at the Libertarian Party convention in June to be put on the general election ballot.[4]
