Scott Jenkins (b. April 13, 1950) has been a Republican member of the Utah Senate since 2000, representing the 20th district.

Education

Jenkins earned his AS from Weber State College in 1974.

Professional experience

Jenkins served in Spec-5 in the Utah Army National Guard from 1972 to 1979. He was a salesman for Mountain States Supply from 1977 to 1982. He went on to work for Hajoca Corporation as a salesman from 1982 to 1987. From 1987 to 2008, he has worked as owner and president of Great Western Supply, Incorporated.

Political experience

Jenkins served as a member of Plain City Council, Utah, from 1979 to 1987. He went on to become the mayor of Plain City, Utah, and served in this position from 1990 to 1993. He joined the Utah State Senate in 2001. He has served the senate since then, representing the 20th district. He is currently the Senate Majority Whip.
