Scott Rudder (b. August 19, 1969) is a Republican member of the New Jersey General Assembly, representing the 8th District. He has served since 2008. Rudder currently serves as Assistant Minority Leader.

Prior to his election to the Assembly, Rudder served as Mayor of Medford from 2005-2008, and as a member of the Medford Council from 1998-2008. [1]

Rudder announced in April 2013 that he would not run for re-election.[2]

Rudder won re-election in 2011. He and incumbent Patrick Delany ran unopposed in the Republican Primary on June 7. They then defeated Sharyn Pertnoy-Schmidt, Raymond Storck, and Robert Edward Forchion, Jr. in the November 8 general election.[3] Republican Patrick Delany has since resigned and withdrawn from the race. Freeholder Chris Brown (R) will replace Delany on the ballot.[4]
