Sean Eldridge is a 2014 Democratic candidate seeking election to the U.S. House to represent the 19th Congressional District of New York.[1]


Personal wealth

The New York Times recently wrote an article portraying Eldridge as a jet-setter, unfamiliar with the concerns of the average citizen of New York's 19th. The National Republican Congressional Committee then used this article to accuse Eldridge of being "rich and out of touch."[2]

Eldridge ran in the 2014 election for the U.S. House to represent New York's 19th District. The general election takes place on November 4, 2014.


The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has included Eldridge in their "Jumpstart" program. The program provides financial support to the candidate.[3]


Eldridge is the husband of Facebook co-founder and New Republic owner Chris Hughes.[2]
