Sean Ryan is a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly. He has represented District 144 since 2011. He was first elected in the September 13, 2011 special election. The special election was called to fill the vacancy created when Sam Hoyt (D) resigned from the Assembly and accepted a senior position at Empire State Development Corporation.[1]
