Sean J. Tindell is a Republican member of the Mississippi State Senate, representing District 49. He was first elected to the chamber in 2011.


Tindell earned his B.S. in Business Administration and M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Southern Mississippi, and his J.D. from the Mississippi College School of Law. His professional experience includes working as an attorney with Page, Mannino, Peresich, and McDermott; and an assistant district attorney for Harrison, Hancock, and Stone counties.[1]

Tindell won the 2011 election for Mississippi Senate District 49. He ran unopposed in the primary on August 2, 2011. Jason Vitosky ran as an Independent. No Democratic candidates ran in the primary. Tindell defeated Vitosky in the general election on November 8, 2011.[2]
