Moulton attended Harvard University where he received his bachelor's degree in physics in 2001. After graduating college, Moulton joined the Marines where he served from January 2002 to July 2008. Once his military tour was complete, Moulton returned to Harvard where he earned both an M.B.A. from the Harvard School of Business and an MPA from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government in 2011.[4][5]
