Sharon Carson (b. November 11, 1957) is a Republican member of the New Hampshire State Senate, representing District 14. She was first elected to the chamber in 2008.

Carson served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2000 to 2008.

Biography

Carson earned her A.S. from Mount Wachussett Community College in 1986, and her B.A., M.A., and A.B.D. from the University of New Hampshire in 1996, 1998, and 2001, respectively. Her professional experience includes serving on the Adjunct Faculty at Nashua Community College, and working as a Teaching Assistant for the University of New Hampshire from 1999 to 2002. Carson was a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army Reserve, serving as a Medical Technologist at the 323rd Medical Lab from 1978 to 1996.

Carson's political experience includes serving as a delegate at the New Hampshire State Convention from 1998 to 2000.

Carson won re-election in the 2012 election for New Hampshire State Senate, District 14.[2] Carson ran unopposed in the September 11th Republican primary election and won re-election in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[3][4]
