Sharon Steckman is a Democratic member of the Iowa House of Representatives. She has represented the 13th District since 2009 and currently serves as an Assistant Majority Leader.

Steckman is a teacher.

She is a member of the Mason City Swim Club, Mason City Youth Hockey Association, Trinity God Squad, and Trinity Lutheran Church.[1]

Steckman is running for re-election to the 13th District Seat in 2010 against Brian R. Randall (R). Steckman had no opposition in the Democratic primary. The general election takes place on November 2, 2010.


On November 4, 2008, Steckman was elected to the 13th District Seat in the Iowa House of Representatives, defeating Scott Tornquist (R). [2] Steckman raised $169,289 for her campaign, while Tornquist raised $268,468. [3]
