Republican Paul Scott of Grand Blanc is the current state representative for the 51st District of the Michigan House of Representatives serving his first term. Rep. Paul Scott (born March 2, 1982) is a American politician from Grand Blanc, Michigan. In November 2008, he became one of two African American Republicans elected to the Michigan House of Representatives since 1904.Scott, a graduate of Grand Blanc High School, earned his degrees in economics and political science from the University of Michigan and his masters in public policy from Harvard University.
