Shelley Mayer is a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly. She has represented District 93 since winning the March 20, 2012 special election. The special election was called to fill the vacancy created when Mike Spano (D) resigned in 2011 after being elected Mayor of Yonkers.[1]

Mayer is running in the 2012 election for New York State Assembly District 90. Mayer is running unopposed in the Democratic primary on September 13, 2012. She is also running on the Working Families Party and Independence Party of New York State tickets. No candidates filed to run in the Republican primary. The general election takes place on November 6, 2012. [2]
