Shirley McKellar was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House representing the 1st Congressional District of Texas.

McKellar ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Texas' 1st District. She ran unopposed in the May 29, 2012, Democratic primary. She ran against incumbent Louie Gohmert (R) and Clark Patterson (L) in the November 6, 2012, general election and lost to Gohmert.[1][2]
