Shirley K. Turner is a Democratic member of the New Jersey Senate, representing District 15. She was first elected to the chamber in 1997. Bills that have been sponsored by Senator Turner include Senate Bill 2 and Senate Bill 4.[1]

Turner was a member of the New Jersey State Assembly from 1994 to 1998. Turner was the Associate Minority Leader for the Assembly from 1996 to 1998.[2]

Biography

Turner earned her B.A. in Education from Trenton State College and her M.A. in Guidance and Counseling from Rider College. Turner later studied postgraduate studies and education at Rutgers University.[3] Her professional experience includes working as the Associate Director of Career Services at Rider University.
