A Si View Park District Levy Protection Question was on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the Si View park district area which is in King County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 4,500 (87.74%)Approveda
  • NO 629 (12.26%)[1]

This measure sought to protect a portion of the district's tax, $.25 per $1,000 of assessed property value, from being reallocated and used by other taxing districts This levy goes towards maintaining current operations at the parks as well as facilities.[2] Proponents noted that without this money the district would not be able to continue its current programs, though even with this the district will still collect less money than it did the previous years. Though opponents noted that the district had gotten additional funds in the past and has not been able to keep a balanced budget regardless of the additional income.[3]
