Silvana Tabares is a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing District 21. She was first elected to the chamber in 2012.

Elections for the office of Illinois House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on March 18, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was December 2, 2013. Incumbent Silvana Tabares ran unopposed in the Democratic primary and was unchallenged in the general election. Felix Gonzalez (R) was removed from the ballot on January 7, 2014.[3][4][5]
