A slate mailer is a publication created by a campaign or for-profit consulting service that is mailed to voters and that contains lists of candidates or ballot measures, along with recommendations and endorsements.[1]

Slate mailers are most common in California. In 2011, the California Fair Political Practices Commission established some new rules regulating slate mailers in the state.
