The South Carolina lieutenant gubernatorial election will take place on November 4, 2014 following a primary election on June 10, 2014. Incumbent Glenn McConnell (R) was first appointed in 2012 and running for re-election.

South Carolina is one of 14 states that uses an open primary system, in which registered voters do not have to be members of a party to vote in that party's primary.[1][2][3]
