Four measures have been certified for the 2010 ballot in South Dakota. In 2010, citizen initiatives and legislatively referred petitions will both require 16,776 valid signatures (5% of the 2006 vote for governor) to qualify for the ballot. For citizen initiated measures, signatures must be filed by April 6, 2010. For legislatively referred measures, signatures must be filed within 90 days after adjournment of legislature at which the law was passed.
