A Springville Village Volunteer Fire Department Retirement Fund measure was on the March 16, 2010 ballot in the village of Springville which is in Erie County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 79 Approveda
  • NO 7[1]

This measure sought to amend the village charter so that volunteer fire fighters would receive a larger amount of money in their retirement fund. Village officials saw this as a way to entice others to volunteer since numbers have been falling in recent years. The volunteers form an integral part of the community and the head of the department hopes this helps bring new life into the group.[2]
