Stephen Brewer (b. February 10, 1948) is a Democratic member of the Massachusetts State Senate, representing the Worcester, Hampden, Hampshire and Franklin District since 1997. Prior to becoming senator, Brewer was a representative with the Massachusetts House of Representatives from 1989-1996; member and chair for the Board of Selectmen, Town of Barre; an aide for Massachusetts Senator Robert Wetmore; and member of the Democratic Town Committee.

Brewer has had professional experience as a laborer.

Brewer earned his Bachelors degree from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in 1971 and his MA from Assumption College in 1974.[1]

Stephen Brewer is involved in a number of organizations, including the Barre Library Association, Mary Lane Hospital Association, North Brookfield Sportsmen Club, North Worcester County Quabbin Anglers Association, South Barre Rod and Gun Club, Spencer Fish and Game Club, and the Stetson School.

Brewer won re-election in the 2012 election for Massachusetts State Senate Worcester, Hampden, Hampshire and Middlesex District. Brewer was unopposed in the September 6 Democratic primary and was unopposed in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
