Steven M. Landek is a Democratic member of the Illinois State Senate, representing District 12. He was first appointed to the chamber in February 2011.[1]

Biography

Landek is the Mayor of Bridgeview. He earned his B.A. in Public Administration from Roosevelt University. Landek's professional experience includes working as a park district commissioner for the State of Illinois.[2][3]

He defeated Raul Montes, Jr. in the Democratic Primary on March 20, 2012[9][10] and was unopposed in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012. Current District 12 incumbent Martin Sandoval ran for re-election in District 11.[11][12][13]
