Landek is running for re-election to the Illinois State Senate in 2012 in District 12. He faces Raul Montes, Jr. in the Democratic Primary on March 20, 2012. Current District 12 incumbent Martin Sandoval is not running for re-election in District 12 but is running in District 11.[2]
