Steven Eliason is a Republican member of the Utah House of Representatives, representing District 45. He was first elected to the chamber in 2010.

Biography

Eliason received his bachelor's degree and M.B.A. from the University of Utah, where he has also occasionally taught accounting. He has been a Certified Public Accountant in Utah since 1997.

Prior to his election, Eliason was the Chief Financial Officer and General Manager for the retail division of the Utah Jazz (Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment). He previously worked as Senior Audit Manager for KPMG, an accounting and auditing firm.

The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 20, 2014. Susan Marques Booth was unopposed in the Democratic convention. Incumbent Steven Eliason was unopposed in the Republican convention. Booth will face Eliason in the general election. Wendy S. Davis (D) withdrew before the primary.[1]
