Steven M. Dean was a Republican candidate for District 35 of the Alabama House of Representatives. The primary election was on June 1, 2010 and the general election was on November 2.

Dean attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He then began working for a automotive industry supplier. He opened his own machine shop in 1991. He has worked in this position since then. Dean has also taught machining, blueprint reading, and PLC Training at the Honda campus of AIDT.

Dean and his wife, Cheryl, have two sons and a foster son.

Dean defeated Benjamin Crawford and Donald Wood in the primary. He was then defeated by Steve Hurst in the general election.[1][2]
