A Summerfield Township Road Levy Renewal measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Summerfield, which is in Monroe County.

This measure sought to renew the current township road levy which is set at a rate of $1 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further four years in order to continue to pay for road construction and improvement costs in the township.[2]

The question on the ballot:

Shall the previous voted increase in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution on general ad valorem taxes within Summerfield Township be renewed at 1 mill ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) for the period of 2013 through 2016, inclusive, for the purpose of road construction and improvement within Summerfield Township; and shall the Township levy such renewal in millage for said purpose, thereby raising in the first year an estimated $120,236.28?[3]
