A Sylvan Township Sewer Levy Increase measure was on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the township of Sylvan which is in Washtenaw County.

This measure was defeated

  • YES 328 (40.85%)
  • NO 475 (59.15%)Defeatedd[1]

This measure sought to increase the current sewer levy to a rate of 4.75 mills for a period of twenty years in order to pay off water and sewer debt liability in the township. The township had been given money from the county in order to help build a new water system in the township and was not able to make repayments. This tax addition would have allowed the township not to default on their loan obligations.[2]
