Tanya Cook (b. November 9, 1964) is a member of the Nebraska Unicameral, representing District 13. She was first elected to the chamber in 2008.

Cook's political experience includes serving on the staff of Ben Nelson, the staff of Brenda Council during her runs for city council and mayor, on the Wells Fargo Bank Community Advisory Board, and on the Governor's Omaha Advisory Council for Lead Safe.

Biography

Cook earned her bachelor's degree in International Business from Georgetown University in 1986, and her M.A. in Training and Development from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1994. Her professional experience includes working as the Director of Urban Affairs in the governor's office, in the administration of former New York City Mayor David Dinkins, at the NW Ayer Advertising Agency, and as president of City Girl Communications.[1]
