The 3rd congressional district of Tennessee will hold an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 4, 2014.

Tennessee has an open primary system, in which registered voters do not have to be members of a party to vote in that party's primary.

Heading into the election the incumbent is Charles J. Fleischmann (R), who was first elected in 2010.

Tennessee's 3rd Congressional District is located in the northeastern portion of the state and includes Scott, Morgan, Roane, Anderson, Union, Campbell, Monroe, McMinn, Polk and Hamilton counties.[1]

District history

2012

The 3rd congressional district of Tennessee held an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 6, 2012. Incumbent Charles J. Fleischmann won re-election in the district.[9]

2010

On November 2, 2010, Fleischmann won election to the United States House of Representatives. He defeated John Wolfe and Savas T. Kyriakidis in the general election.[10]
