Terry M. Wanzek (b. March 28, 1957) is a Republican member of the North Dakota State Senate, representing District 29. He was first elected to the chamber in 1994. Wanzek serves as President Pro Tempore of the Senate in the 2013 session.

Wanzek was a member of the North Dakota House of Representatives from 1992 to 1994.

Biography

Wanzek earned his bachelor's degree at Jamestown College in 1979. He later graduated from the Texas A&M University Executive Program for Agricultural Procedures. Wanzek has been a farmer, rancher and business owner.

Wanzek won re-election to the North Dakota State Senate District 29, defeating Richard Schlosser (D) in the November 2 general election.[1][2]

On November 7, 2006, Wanzek was re-elected to the 29th District Seat in the North Dakota State Senate, besting Dustin Lien (D). [4] Wanzek raised $4,050 for his campaign, while Lien raised $1,400. [5]
