Thomas Sloan is a Republican member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing District 45 since 1995. Sloan previously served in the Kansas State Senate from 1983-1985 and 1986-1989.

Sloan has worked as Executive Director of Western Resources, an assistant professor at Kansas State University, Government Affairs Representative for the Getty Oil Company, and associate executive director of the Kansas State Nurses Association.[1]

He received his BA from Syracuse University, MA from Michigan State University, and PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Sloan won re-election in the 2012 election for Kansas House of Representatives District 45. He ran unopposed in the August 7 Republican primary and was unopposed in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[4][5]
