LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas: Three initiatives are currently circulating in the state of Arkansas, hoping to gain access to the November 2, 2010 general election ballot. The signature filing deadline in Arkansas is July 2, 2010, where signature gatherers must collect at least 77,468 for proposed constitutional amendments, 61,974 proposed statutes and 46,481 for referenda.

One measure would allow Arkansas Hotels and Entertainment to own and operate seven casino gaming establishments; one each in Sebastian, Pulaski, Garland, Miller, Crittenden, Boone, and Jefferson Counties. Another measure would require anyone who is at least 14 years of age to sign an oath saying they are legal residents or citizens in the country. The last initiative would ban most illegal immigrants from receiving benefits given by the state
