Tim Begalka (b. February 19, 1960) is a Republican member of the South Dakota State Senate, representing District 4. Begalka was elected to the South Dakota State Senate in 2010.

Begalka worked his way from manager to owner of Sodak Gardens. Politically, he has been active with the Deuel County Republican Party, serving as a delegate, secretary, and chair. He first took office as a member of the South Dakota House of Representatives in 2001 and served until 2004.

Begalka earned his B.S. from South Dakota State University. He and his wife Rhonda currently reside in Clear Lake. They have five children, Aaron, Carrie, Austin, Ronald, and Robert.[1]

Begalka won re-election in the 2012 election for South Dakota State Senate District 4. Begalka defeated Val Rausch (2012 House Speaker) in the Republican primary on June 5 and defeated incumbent Steven Street (D) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
