Nichols ran in the 2012 election for New York State Assembly District 110. Nichols lost against Kevin O. Frazier, Phillip G. Steck (who is also running on the Working Families Party ticket, and Joe Landry in the Democratic primary on September 13, 2012. Jennifer Whalen ran unopposed in the Republican primary; she is also running on the Conservative Party ticket. Frazier, Steck, Landry, and Whalen are running in the Independence Party of New York State primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012. [1][2]
