Toi Hutchinson is a Democratic member of the Illinois State Senate. She was appointed on January 5, 2009[1] to fill out now Congresswoman Debbie Halvorson's unexpired term. Hutchinson was previously Halvorson's chief of staff. She is also a former Village Clerk of Olympia Fields, Illinois.

Hutchinson graduated with her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.

Hutchinson ran for re-election to the Illinois State Senate in District 40 in the 2012 election. Hutchinson was unopposed in the Democratic primary on March 20, and defeated Joseph C. Marshall (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[3]

Toi is married to Paul Hutchinson. They have three children and reside in Olympia Fields, Illinois.
