Toi Hutchinson is a Democratic member of the Illinois State Senate. She was appointed on January 5, 2009[1] to fill out now Congresswoman Debbie Halvorson's unexpired term. Hutchinson was previously Halvorson's chief of staff. She is also a former Village Clerk of Olympia Fields, Illinois.

Hutchinson graduated with her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.

Hutchinson won re-election to the 40th District Seat in the Illinois State Senate against Republican Adam Baumgartner.[3]

The election took place on November 2, 2010. Hutchinson ran unopposed in the Democratic primary election on February 2nd.[4]

Hutchinson represents Illinois Senate District 40. District 40 includes Chicago Heights, Orland Park, and other Chicago suburbs in Kankankee and Will Counties[5].

Personal

Toi is married to Paul Hutchinson. They have three children and reside in Olympia Fields, Illinois.
